We exist to witness God's love
so that all can share in His joy.
There are times when we are faced with the unexpected loss of those we love, a difficult life event,
or a serious illness. These sessions will offer parishioners and their families the ability to process their feelings
in a safe, loving environment. Fr. Michael can always be contacted in times of need.
We offer Support Groups 2-3 times a year. Call for the schedule.

Compassion is the single most powerful tool that moves mountains, heals wounds, uplifts the fallen heart, unleashes bonds of isolation, and lends hands and strength to the forlorn and hopeless. Compassion is in itself a driving force of unity that stems from love. It is what tenderness and understanding create. Without compassion . . . we are empty. . . we are frail . . . we thirst for the humane consideration and knowledge that love is waiting . . .love is present.
The Compassionate Hearts Ministry has been created to provide companionship and support to those who face significant challenges and/or loss in their lives. Through presence, prayer, and heartfelt listening we offer a safe, non-judgmental approach where understanding and confidentiality are paramount. We strive to make a difference in our parish community by actively listening, and providing appropriate resources and encouragement.
Significant change can often bring conflicting emotions including feelings of stress, fear, and isolation. Valuable resource material and support are available to help with significant life transitions, serious illness, or the death of a loved one.
Visitation to parishioners and/or their family members who are hospitalized is also available. Eucharistic ministers of Holy Communion will bring the loving presence of the Church through prayer and visitation to those who request it. Due to privacy laws, we must be notified by you if you or your loved one would like to have visitation. Hospitals are no longer permitted to contact us in this regard.
There are so many among us who are alone in their daily trials. Simple acts of kindness and outreach are most helpful in compassionately meeting their needs. The worth of each person is then validated and hope and peace are offered. Christ’s mission is our mission.
“Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”
(Matthew 25:40).
