Dear Parishioners,

What a blessing to be the leader of St. Luke Parish.  Fr. Hubert and I are always deeply touched by the kindness and love that abounds in this Christ centered community.  As you are aware, we have twelve candidates who are preparing for the Easter sacraments.  Many of them have come on board because of the welcome shown them by St. Luke parishioners.  These days, most people are looking for a parish with loving priests, a welcoming community, a space where their families will be loved, supported, and educated in their faith.  A Catholic Church with the Eucharist at its center. My dear parishioners, it truly takes a village.  Next weekend, we will have the First Scrutiny at our 9:30 am Mass.  I am proud to present to you:

Chris Leedy, who is married to Janis, a devout Catholic, lives in Budd Lake and is a non-baptized candidate to be initiated into the Catholic Church and seeks the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation.

Phoebe Rospond who lives in Rockaway, is a non-baptized candidate to be initiated into the Catholic Church and seeks to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation. 

Zachary Rospond who lives in Rockaway, is a non-baptized candidate to be initiated into the Catholic Church and seeks to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation. 

Blake Lieberwirth who lives in Roxbury, is a non-baptized candidate to be initiated into the Catholic Church and seeks to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation. 

Stephen Smith who is engaged to Karen, a devout Catholic, lives in Flanders and is a former Protestant to be initiated into the Catholic Church through Profession of Faith and seeks to receive the sacraments of Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation.

Marc Allen who is engaged to Catherine, a devout Catholic, lives in Hopatcong and is a former Protestant to be initiated into the Catholic Church through Profession of Faith and seeks to receive the sacraments of Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation.

Vincent Lally who is married to Caitlin, a devout Catholic, lives in Chester and is a former Protestant to be initiated into the Catholic Church through Profession of Faith and seeks to receive the sacraments of Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation.

Edward Karpinski with the example of his devout grandmother, Ann Marie, lives in Florham Park and is a baptized Catholic who seeks to receive the sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation.

 Johnny Karpinski with the example of his devout grandmother, Ann Marie, lives in Florham Park and is a baptized Catholic who seeks to receive the sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation.

Colin Orban under the guidance of his devout Catholic grandparents, Diana and Mike, lives in Hampton, is a baptized Catholic who seeks to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.

Jamie Crosby who lives in Rockaway, a Catholic who seeks to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.

Ed Rohllf  who is married to Lauren, a devout Catholic, lives in Long Valley, a former Protestant to be initiated into the Catholic Church through Profession of Faith, and seeks to receive the sacraments of Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation.

As I end my retreat today, be assured that I have kept each of you in my prayers.
