We exist to witness God's love
so that all can share in His joy.
Who We Are...
The goal of the St. Luke Special Needs Ministry (SNM) is to provide an inclusive spiritual, social, and educational environment for children and adults with special needs and their families. Recognizing the need to include all members of our community, SNM strives to bring together individuals with special needs and their families and create opportunities for them to worship, socialize and grow.
The cornerstone of SNM is a monthly Mass focused on children and adults with special needs and their families, regardless of religious affiliation. Following Mass, the SNM provides an afternoon of activities and social events geared toward children and adults with special needs. These include games, craft activities, music and other social interaction specifically designed to enhance social and physical development. During the activities, SNM hosts a group discussion for Caregivers of children and adults with special needs. The discussion is lead by an experienced professional and provides Caregivers time to talk, share and exchange ideas and resources.
Our ministry also offers twice monthly gym nights in the multipurpose room bringing children and adults with special needs to a variety of sports and activities that encourage the development of teamwork and social skills. The ministry integration in parish life enables large parish organizational resources, big events, and big outings.
